Of course we are. See.Saw.Seen Eyewear is founded by an optometrist with more than fifteen years of optical expertise in the United States and abroad. Our frames are hand-picked with meticulous quality control. Our lenses are customized in a certified optical laboratory. Our optical staff members verify your prescription and your eyeglasses are fully customized to your specific needs.
We source the best frames wholesale and sell them at reasonable prices. Just like your favorite boutique stores, we don’t have to deal with the middle men of the major brands and optical chains. Our goal is to provide the best eyewear at the most affordable price to everyone.
We are an on-line company. We don’t have a traditional storefront at this time.
Every vision plan is different. We suggest that you contact your insurance provider to find out how you can get reimbursed for your eyeglasses. We will gladly provide you with a receipt to submit to your insurance company. Note that prescription glasses and sunglasses are considered medical devices that are usually covered under most flexible spending (FSA) accounts. Every plan is different, so we recommend that you contact your Human Resources Department for more information.

You need a valid prescription only if you plan to get prescriptive glasses and sunglasses. That means you do not need a prescription for plano (non-prescriptive) glasses and sunglasses. The prescription must be current, which is usually two years within the date of your most recent eye exam. Consult your optometrist if you don't have a valid prescription.
You can provide us your prescription by:
- Filling out the order form at Check Out
- Emailing or faxing a copy to us (email@example.com / 1-415-795-4700)
- Giving us your optometrist's information so we can contact them for you. Please note that some practitioner's office may require you to sign an authorization release form.
Upon receiving your order, we are required legally to verify your prescription with your eye care practitioner if your prescription eyeglasses are shipped to the states of AK, AL, AZ, CA, CT, FL, GA, KY, MA, NC, NJ, NV, NY, OH, RI, SC, TN, VT, and WA.

No. Contact lenses prescriptions can be very different from your eyeglasses prescription. Because contact lenses are placed much closer to your eye than eyeglasses, the powers you need are different. Make sure you enter the prescription for your eyeglasses and NOT for contact lenses.
The sphere limit is from +4.00D to -12.00D. The cylinder limit is up to -2.00D. If you have a prescription that is beyond this range, we can still make the lenses for you with an extra charge. Please contact us for more information.
Absolutely. You can order frames with plano (non-prescription) polycarbonate lenses. You can also order the frames without any lenses and get a ten percent (10%) discount.
PD stands for pupillary distance, which is the distance between your pupils. It is important to make sure your lenses are well-centered for your eyes to prevent unnecessary eyestrain. This is necessary only if you get prescription glasses or sunglasses. To measure your PD, consult your optometrist as they have special instrumentation to get an accurate reading.
We provide free shipping via USPS or UPS to any of the 48 contiguous states. Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii will incur a $15 additional charge.
Yes. There will be additional shipping charge depending where we’re shipping your eyeglasses. Please contact us by phone or email.
It will take about two to three weeks from the date of your order to receive your glasses. We will verify your prescription with your eye care practitioner, fulfill it at an optical lab, and complete a full inspection of your eyeglasses before shipping them out to you.

Our virtual mirror gives you an idea how our frames will look on you. You can upload a nice photo or use your webcam to try on all of our stylish frames. Once you added your photos, you can share them with your friends or on our social media pages and enjoy the comments. Please note that the virtual mirror images are for reference only. Refer to our frame measurements and fitting guide for more information on sizing and fitting.
Come to our store at 515 Gough St, San Francisco, we will adjust the glasses for you for Fee. Also, consult your local optometrist or optician to have your frames adjusted. If you are charged for the adjustment service, keep your receipt and we will apply a store credit of up to ten dollars ($10) to your account.

Yes. Bifocal and progressive lenses require special measurements. We recommend using our In-Person Try-On to get the measurement done with See.Saw.Seen personnel, or have the measurement done at your local optometry office
We offer polycarbonate lenses which are impact-resistant, thinner, and lighter than plastic lenses. You will also get the scratch resistant coating, anti-reflective coating, and UV protection, all for FREE. If your prescription is higher than -4.00D, we recommend you getting the Hi-Index 1.67 lenses, which are thinner lenses that also come with FREE scratch resistant coating, anti-reflective coating, and UV protection. Ultra Hi-Index 1.74 lenses are recommended for those of you that have a prescription stronger than -6.00D.
We strongly recommend polycarbonate lenses for children. Polycarbonate lenses are impact resistant, making it much safer for your children. Your child will get the scratch resistant coating, anti-reflective coating, and UV protection, all for FREE.
ABOUT RETURNS & EXCHANGES
In event of any manufacturers defect to your frames or lenses, we will exchange any frames or lenses for free within thirty (30) days.
If you are unsatisfied with your frames you are entitled to a refund or exchange within fourteen (14) days. Please note that for any frame exchanges or refunds, you are limited to exchanging or returning a maximum of two (2) frames per customer per month.We are not able to refund lenses as they are custom made for you, so your order is subject to a restocking fee. However, we will allow one free additional customization with any lens and frames purchase of the same monetary value. This means that if you are unsatisfied with your frames, you may return the frames and lenses and exchange them for one new set of frames and lenses. Please note that any lenses or frames must be exchanged within fourteen (14) days of receiving your order.
Please note that we will not refund or exchange your lenses for free due to an incorrect prescription or pupillary distance submitted by you or your eyecare practitioner. Orders with an incorrect prescription or pupillary distance will be subject to a restocking fee.
The restocking fee will be $40 for polycarbonate lenses, $70 for Hi-index 1.67 lenses, and $100 for Ultra- Hi-index 1.74 lenses.
We want you to be satisfied with your purchase and will work with you if you have any concerns with your order. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to obtain a return /exchange authorization.
We want to ensure that you'll be satisfied with our products. For this reason, we offer a twenty four (24) hour cancellation policy. You have to cancel your order by contacting us via email (email@example.com) or via phone (415-603-2020) within twenty four (24) hours of placing your order. Late cancellation is subject to a restocking fee of $40 for polycarbonate lenses, $70 for Hi-Index 1.67 lenses, and $100 for Hi-Index 1.74 lenses.
There is very little chance of this happening because we take great care in the packaging of your eyeglasses to guarantee its safety. However, if you notice that your package arrives in really bad shape, contact us immediately and provide pictures of the package. We will work with you on sending you a return label and a replacement pair of glasses.
Refrain from using the eyeglasses and contact us immediately for a return authorization. We will work with you on sending you the correct pair of glasses. Rest assured that there is very little chance of this happening.
